E-Motion Engineering has transformed a second-generation Porsche Cayenne Diesel into a rally-capable overlander, as showcased in a Larry Chen video.
Given the limited availability of aftermarket off-road parts for the Cayenne, E-Motion custom-fabricated several components:
• Bumper guards and rock rails: Integrated into the frame rails and subframes to provide robust anchor points for recovery gear.
• Aluminum skid plates: 3/16-inch plates extending the vehicle’s length for underbody protection.
• Functional carbon fiber snorkel: Inspired by the Cayenne S Transsyberia’s air intake, enhancing the vehicle’s off-road capabilities.
The suspension system features KW coilovers with three-way adjustability—high-speed, low-speed, and rebound—derived from technology used in the German military’s Volkswagen Touareg.
This setup accommodates Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tires mounted on custom beadlock wheels, enhancing off-road performance.
In challenging terrains, the Cayenne’s diesel engine, delivering 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque, facilitates controlled drifts, while the advanced suspension ensures stability on rough roads.
